Our Story
Meet our Founder - Heath
My journey in the building industry began in Melbourne, where I became a registered builder in 2007 and founded my first company, Greendawn Build. In 2011, I returned to London and established Greendawn Build UK.
What started with me cycling to my first project on Hillcroft Crescent in Ealing with just a backpack of tools soon grew into a reputable West London company delivering high-end residential projects for professionals such as doctors, lawyers, accountants, and IT specialists.
Our projects ranged from extensions and renovations to complex basement builds under century-old homes in conservation areas, where we carefully balanced heritage preservation with modern living.
After nine years in London, we returned to Australia and chose Denmark, WA, as our home. Unsure whether I wanted to continue building, I launched Great Southern Property Maintenance and focused on smaller jobs. It didn’t take long to realise my true passion lay in larger residential projects, so I dedicated three and a half years to becoming a registered builder in Western Australia.
Drawing on my experience in heritage work, energy-efficient construction, and high-end builds, I established Hillcroft Construction to deliver quality homes and renovations for the Great Southern region. I’m proud to bring the same commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful design to every project here in Denmark, WA.
